Annual International Medical Students (AIMS) Meeting

AIMS Meeting [Annual International (bio)Medical Students Meeting] is the largest biomedical conference in Europe organized entirely by medical students, gathering each year over a thousand participants from all the world. It is held annually in Lisboa, Portugal and is advocated by the Faculty of Medicine of the Lisbon Students’ Local Committee.

AIMS Meeting highlights the importance of medical education for all students of health sciences through a diverse approach and is a platform to build bridges between biomedical students around the world.

International Congress of Medical Sciences (ICMS)

ICMS – International Congress of Medical Sciences is an international event that welcomes more than 500 participants every year.

The congress gives the opportunity to students and young doctors from all over the world to present their research work in a set of Preclinical sciences, Internal medicine, Surgery and Public Health poster and oral sessions. We aim to inspire innovation and promote academic quality through an outstanding list of hands-on workshops and keynote lectures by world-renowned scientists and doctors.

International Medical Students’ Congress of Bucharest (IMSCB)

IMSCB is the biggest medical students’ congress in Romania, with over 25 years of activity, celebrating 7 years since it became an international event. It is organized by the Medical Students’ Society of Bucharest (SSMB), under the patronage of Carol Davila University School of medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest.

The International Student Congress on Clinical Innovation and Medical Sciences (ICOCIMS)

ICOCIMS is Italy’s first international biomedical student conference, founded and organized by students for students. Hosted at the University of Parma, the congress provides a global platform for young researchers to present their work, compete for awards, and connect with peers and mentors from around the world. Alongside oral and poster sessions, ICOCIMS features lectures by renowned international experts and hands-on workshops covering topics such as research integrity, citizen science, and clinical innovation. The conference aims to foster cultural and scientific exchange while inspiring greater student involvement in research within Italy and beyond.

Oporto Biomedical Summit (OBS)

Oporto Biomedical Summit (OBS) is a student-organized scientific congress promoted by the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences’ Student Board (ICBAS, University of Porto). Guided by the motto “Overcome Barriers in Science,” OBS brings together national and international students, researchers, and professionals to explore the latest advances in medicine and biomedical sciences. Through a diverse program of lectures, roundtables, and hands-on workshops, the summit fosters multidisciplinary learning, scientific curiosity, and collaboration within the biomedical community, while showcasing Porto as a hub for innovation and scientific excellence.

In4Med

International Medical Students’ Congress of Coimbra (In4Med) is a prestigious, student-led scientific congress organized by the Medical Students’ Association of Coimbra (NEM/AAC). Dedicated to inspiring future healthcare professionals, In4Med combines cutting-edge scientific sessions, keynote lectures, and innovative workshops that bridge research, clinical practice, and technology. With participants from around the world, the congress promotes critical thinking, interdisciplinary collaboration, and personal development, while celebrating a humanistic vision of medicine and the spirit of academic excellence that defines the University of Coimbra.

NeuRi Congress

Student congress of neuroscience (NeuRi) is a traditional April gathering of young lovers of neuroscience which is being held at the Medical Faculty Rijeka and Insula County Hospital on island Rab. Under the motto “Education & Experience”, we aim to bring together neuroscientists from all over the world from different disciplines to share new scientific discoveries and generate synergies to advance in the whole field of brain knowledge. Through collaboration, promotion, sharing of ideas and experience, and other means, we hope to improve the standard of international gatherings for students of biomedical sciences.

Croatian Student Summit – CROSS is an international science congress for students and young scientists in the biomedical field which has, over the last few years, it has found itself as one of the leading students’ congresses in Croatia and this European region.

Plexus Conference

Plexus Conference is an international conference of young biomedical professionals that will take place in Split and Zagreb, December 4th - 7th, 2025. Our goal is connecting, inspiring and educating young biomedical professionals through workshops, lectures and fireside chats held by physicians, scientists and biomedical leaders from world-renowned institutions. We have had the privilege of hosting over 2400 young biomedical professionals from more than 30 countries, as well as 10 Nobel Laureates and other luminaries from world-renowned institutions such as Harvard Medical School, Microsoft, and the World Health Organization.

OSCON

Osijek Student Congress (OSCON) is an international congress of translational medicine of students and young physicians. The project was started by the Student Council of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Osijek in the academic year 2018/2019.

Translational medicine is based on close collaboration between fundamental and clinical research for faster and more effective implementation of new discoveries in clinical practice, which opens the door to the development of personalized medicine. The purpose of the congress is to exchange ideas and introduce students and young physicians with the importance of linking basic and clinical sciences as well as meeting new people, which will enable better future collaboration.

ZIMS

The Zagreb International Medical Summit (ZIMS) is an annual congress organized by the European Medical Students’ Association (EMSA) Zagreb, held in early December. This four-day event brings together students and young doctors from Croatia, Europe, and across the globe. Participants have the opportunity to attend lectures, engage in workshops, and present their scientific work. Successful submissions are also published in the journal “Liječnički vjesnik”.

YES Meeting Conference

The YES Meeting Conference is an international gathering designed to bring together students, young professionals, and emerging leaders from diverse fields to exchange ideas, share research, and build global networks. 20th Forum Conference
